Module 1 · Section 2 of 3

The csAIi Framework

csAIi is a relationship and discipline framework for working with AI technology. It’s not about the technical architecture --- it’s about how people can structure and sustain the partnership between human expertise and AI capability.

csAIi stands for Context, Skills, Agents, Integration and Iteration.

LayerWhat It IsThe Principle
ContextPersistent configuration that teaches AI who you areCompound interest of knowledge work
SkillsReusable, documented proceduresIf you can write it as a checklist, it’s a skill
AgentsSpecialised roles for domains requiring judgementAgents are for what’s left after you’ve solved everything simpler
IntegrationExternal connections and automated loopsHow your tools connect matters more than which tools you choose
IterationThe feedback loop that makes everything compoundWithout iteration, you build a tool. With it, you build a practice.

The order matters. Each layer builds on the previous:

  • You can’t build useful Skills without Context
  • You shouldn’t build Agents before you have Skills working
  • Integration ties it all together but requires the foundation
  • You can’t improve the system without reviewing and iterating on it
